ORIENTATION AND DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY FOR
TAN HOA VILLAGE TOURISM UNTIL 2030
Tan Hoa Village, Minh Hoa District: Positioned as a satellite destination alongside Phong Nha – Ke Bang, Tan Hoa Village is emerging as a key tourism hub in the Western region of Quang Binh Province. With its main attractions are Tan Hoa Tourism Village and the Tu Lan Cave System, Tan Hoa Village is gradually establishing itself as an attractive point for tourism in Minh Hoa District. Tan Hoa’s satellite destinations include Hang Tien (Cao Quang), Ruc Mon, Thac Mo, Ta Vong, Hoa Phuc and Lam Hoa cave systems (Tuyen Hoa). The prominence of Tan Hoa will contribute to the development of tourism products in the Minh Hoa area.
With its remarkable cultural and natural resources, Tan Hoa Village has been cultivating a unique tourism model known as the “Weather-Adaptive Tourism Village,” guided by a strategic vision for effective community-based tourism development. Tan Hoa is expected to become the second Phong Nha in Quang Binh Province in the next 10 years. This development process adheres to three principles: Community involvement, cooperative collaboration for tourism development, and the destination will be community ownership.
To actualize this strategy, the village aims to transition from responsible tourism development to sustainable tourism based on global principles (aligned with 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations), with the ultimate goal of achieving generative tourism in the future.
Below roadmap shows the positioning and the significance of Tan Hoa Village within the development strategy until 2030
